BARISTA / CASHIER

HARD SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 months recent high-volume coffee shop or service experience
• Current food handler’s permit (Snohomish County) or ability to obtain one if hired
• Current MAST permit or ability to obtain one if hired
• Ability to stand for at least 8 hours
• At least 18 years of age

SOFT SKILLS:

• Desire to provide a great customer experience/set a dope vibe!
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency while multitasking

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO):

• Welcome all customers into the shop and provide individualized experience for each guest - baristas and cashiers are the face of the company and we are excited to have folks in these positions who get excited about providing great hospitality and setting the mood of the cafe!
• Take customer orders according to company practices
• Assemble customer pastry orders
• Create espresso and specialty drinks according to company standards, menu, and customer requests
• Re-stock merchandising shelves periodically as needed
• Clean and sanitize the cafe throughout shift according to company standards and systems
• Re-stock front of house as needed for service including disposables, pastries, food prep, bar needs, and merchandising fridge
• Maintain customer flow to ensure low-wait time and order back up
• Bussing tables and emptying bus bins as available
• Dishwashing as available

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

• This position starts at $17 per hour plus credit and cash tips. Credit tips are split throughout the house equally and cash tips are split between FOH staff
• Healthcare stipend of $200 provided monthly for employees who work an average of at least 35 hrs/week for the previous month (stipend available after 60 day probationary period)

• Holidays off: Juneteenth (June 19th), Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Day, 1 week mid-winter break

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
